Justice Department rejects Texas voter ID law

Citing the Voting Rights Act, the U.S. says the law could disproportionately harm Latinos. It will not be in effect during Texas' May primary. Gov. Rick Perry vows a fight.

The Justice Department on Monday rejected Texas' new voter identification law, saying it could disproportionately harm Latinos under the federal Voting Rights Act.
